Trinta anos após o fracasso do Programa de Colonização do Espaço, a humanidade se encontra próxima da extinção. Uma chuva contínua e mortal cai na Terra. Homens conhecidos como "Junkers" roubam bens e artefatos das ruínas da civilização. Um desses Junkers foge sozinho para a mais perigosa dessas ruínas, a "Cidade Sarcófago". No centro dessa cidade sem vida, ele descobre um planetário da época antes da guerra. E assim que entra é cumprimentando por Hoshino Yumemi, uma robô de acompanhante.
