One evening after school, Masaki reunites with his childhood friend and next target, Mai Mutsuki. Mai adores Masaki and calls him "big brother." They reminisce about old times when Masaki suddenly brings up a concern about her father's debt. Unaware of the repayment amount, Mai assures him, "It's okay! Don't worry! Even if we can't pay it back immediately, I'll find a way!" However, the debt is in the billions, something that can't be arranged quickly, as confirmed by the maid, Riko. "I see, so Mai will find a way..." Masaki's eyes gleamed suspiciously. The next day, in the bustling classroom, Mizuki Kamina's seat is empty. Masaki only gives it a fleeting glance. After school, Mai looks around nervously. Confirming that Masaki isn't around, she tries to leave quietly but is caught by Masaki, who had been waiting for her.
