A história de To LOVE-Ru gira em torno de Rito Yuuki, um estudante do colégio que não pode (ou não consegue) se confessar para a garota de seus sonhos, Haruna Sairenji. Um dia, quando volta a casa e vai até a banheira, uma misteriosa garota nua aparece do nada. O nome dela é Lala Satalin e ela vem do planeta Deviluke, onde é a herdeira do trono.
